After 50 years of a pottery life, I have now decided to pursue other opportunities.  During those years I have loved creating handmade stoneware including Extreme Forms or large ceramic works that have architectural value for special display opportunities as well as day-to-day functional art pottery including bistro cups, serving bowls, sculpted vases, hanging platters and a vast array of other items incorporating complex glazing and attention to detail. My last studio, Van Hollow Pottery, created by my wife, Sarah, and me was located on the Van Hollow arm of scenic Beaver Lake in the Ozark Mountains.

I invite you to enjoy browsing the details and forms in the images on our "Pottery Details" page. They form a retrospective of decades of pottery making and offer insights to pottery making.  For even more details, view the Pottery Details video:  http://youtu.be/jitO3pffTl8

Inspiring and teaching students has also been a passion of mine.  For those interested in pursuing this art form, I recommend Amy and Newt Lale of Osage Clayworks in Alpena, Arkansas (www.osageclayworks.com).

I have also felt privileged to practice art therapy and will continue to share those insights with fellow artists.  You can access a complete video listing of my Pottery Making Videos and Thoughts (11 videos), Inspirational Wise Words, and Sarah's Cultural Arts Explorations (30+ videos) by clicking on the Videos page/link above.
